How do I earn from amazon using Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)

How do I earn from amazon using Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP)

Have you ever dreamed of publishing your own book and even earn from it? Well, Amazon have made it all possible with Kindle Direct Publishing

There are two ways to earn from amazon KDP by creating either high content or low content books.

When we say high content those are the novels, literatures, magazines, technically those books that are fully written from the first page to its end, and when we say low contents these are scarcely written like coloring books, notebooks, planner, journal or anything that is not fully or scarcely written by words.

These two can be very lucrative if you are in the right track. Now the technique for you to hit the button is to focus on the quality and not the quantity.

Even though you have thousands of written stories or created planners, notebook, journal or anything low content as long as this is all garbage you won’t get any sales from these, quality contents matters a lot.

I already have written some novels before I knew about low content books in Amazon

So, how do I earn in making high content books like novels, inspirational books, educational books etc.

To Introduce Amazon KDP, it is a self-publishing platform for anyone who would like to make their books digital or if you are also the type of person who's having a hard time finding a local publishing company to sign for your books.

And to those people who can’t afford the fund to publish their own book, technically, KDP is a very handful tool for every author who struggle publishing their craft.

What do you need to do to get into Amazon KDP do you have to pay anything?

NO Amazon KDP is totally free for everyone, you only need to sign up here https://kdp.amazon.com/ on this link and once you have your own account you can now start writing your first book.

Inside your account there is what we called bookshelf, this is where all your books are gathered and depending on how long you’ve been with KDP you can have options in creating Kindle EBook, Paperback, and Hardcover.

In my case I just got my Hardcover activated this year 2021 aside from that I have also activated the Series option on my account.

KDP will guide you on how you can start writing your first book, normally you'll have to furnish three main details.

eBook/Paperback/Hardcover Details: this is where you create you description of your books including foreshadowing.

eBook/Paperback/Hardcover Content: this is the second stage where you would be ask to upload your content as well as uploading your enticing and well-crafted book cover, and if you don’t have your own ISBN don’t worry KDP will provide you one. Next step

eBook/Paperback/Hardcover Rights & Pricing: This is the stage where you need to disclose the copyright of your book if you really own the content.

And finally the pricing, normally it ranges from $3 to $10 depending on how many word count and pages your book has, anyway KDP has its own system to determine a reasonable price for your book.

After you upload your content, KDP will suggest pricing and depending on you if you’re going to deal with that or you wanted to change it to your own price.

Now if you’re good with the price and your book is ready to publish then you can now release your first book.

It would take 24 to 72 hours to officially publish your book because Amazon KDP will review it first, but if it doesn’t violate KDP's policy then it wouldn’t take 24 hours to publish your book.

This process goes the same way with publishing low contents, there is no huge differences, the only problem is that low content are prone to copyright breaches and I’m not kidding if I say that if Amazon finds it out your account will be permanently terminated and disable and you can’t create another with your own name.

Amazon will detect that if you try to, also low content books are paperback and hardcover version and there's a different types of earning between eBooks and paperback/hardcover, and you might be curious on how are you going to earn money on KDP.

On eBooks there are two ways to earn a decent payment, first is when a customer directly buy your books and the second thing is KENP read or Kindle Edition Normalized Page or in other terms Royalties.

What is Royalties in KDP? Well amazon KDP has an application for subscription or a kindle unlimited membership.

wherein customers’ needs to sign up for membership and if they do they can read your novels for free so long as they have a membership.

But don’t get me wrong you are still earning money depending on how many pages or reads from your eBook, sounds great right?

Kindle unlimited are for eBooks only meanwhile your customer can also purchase the hardcover of your book.

The only difference with low content when it comes to selling is that there is no Royalties involve on low contents books.

So there you go, if you are interested in embarking a path for authorship however, writing is your mortal enemy you can still do that by hiring freelancer to write your book.

And if you’re interested in low content as well its either you do the same thing or watch tutorials on how to do it on YouTube simple as that but remember quality over quantity.
