So, first what is dropshipping? in my own understanding and experience doing dropshipping is the process of selling online without even touching any of your unit or product.

Basically, you are just doing the marketing process and so long as you have your own site with a decent domain you’re good to operate an online store.

Well, you're welcome to buy any ecommerce site to render your store but I think mostly are getting hooked up with Shopify.

This is where I bought my dropshipping merchant and then I also purchase my domain with their extended service. 

You needed your domain to make it look like your own store and not with Shopify and also because you have a choice to make your own brand.

Technically, what you only need to do is selecting products coming from them and then put up additional price from their selling price. 

Display it to your store and voila! You now have products in your online store. 

Aliexpress is also part of dropshipping service so you don’t have to worry about the inventory and the delivery local and international.

 

But Dropshipping business isn’t like a walk in a park, after you did it all, you need to put up an online store into getting products.

You can’t just sit around and let your site do the job for you, as you see this is where the tough is going. 

The challenge isn’t in building your own dropshipping merchant it’s in the marketing area. 

This is where I miss, to tell you what, my site has been running for three months without even a single sell. 

Almost 70% of dropshippers failed in this line of business, but it’s not the end of the story for you, there’s a lot of marketing strategy that you can do, like Facebook ads, email marketing, google ads and even influencer marketing.

Now, this might new to everyone but some of dropshippers are working with influencer through Instagram, and YouTube to advertise their products, aside from that there are pages that you can create in all your social medias to sell and a lot more to discover.



 

Now as part of the selling you know there must be an unsuccessful purchase returns, refund and complain

 

Setbacks in dropshipping.

 

This is where headache comes in, most of the setback are coming from returns, unreceived parcel, not accurate product, bad reviews.

These are the things that you don’t have total control since you are not seeing your products that’s why its advisable that in the first month old of your online store.

Make sure to carefully select products that are legit, not out of stock or missing SKU. 

And the only way to do that is to buy it yourself first to make sure that the quality and the timing in delivery are 100% reliable

Because you try it yourself already, also you can check the reviews of the suppliers if they are really 100% legit and reliable, check the products reviews first and try it yourself.

 

Can I do dropshipping without even pulling out an cents in my wallet?

The answer for this is NO even though there is a free trial in Shopify you still need to release funds in buying your own domain and test your products.

Also, advertising comes with a fund. So you need to really pull out a fund in order for you to succeed in this business.

 

Is dropshipping over saturated?

 

For me the answer for this is NO, try to ask your neighbor, your friend, you high school friend or even your family member, I bet they still don’t know about it yet.

 

Finally, if you'd like to start with dropshipping I suggest make your own research first regarding marketing strategy and everything about dropshipping and when you’re ready, be prepared to accept setbacks but once you overcome this, there's a room for your success.
